Dr. Manfred Weiss, head of the Macromolecular crystallography group
Most crystal structures solved as part of our projects are based on diffraction data collected at BESSY, which provides an excellent setup and superb support for biological diffraction experiments. We are glad that our complex between Sirt3 and the Sirtuin inhibitor Ex-527 became the 1000th structure solved at the BESSY macromolecular diffraction beamlines, illustrating our excellent collaboration with BESSY and its Macromolecular crystallography group.
